Aetna, the largest health insurance provider in the United States, says it will begin selling Farm Bureau insurance in the states of Ohio, Iowa and Missouri.
The company says it’s adding Farm Bureau to its portfolio of health insurance options for people who are not eligible for the Affordable Care Act’s marketplaces, or people who do not qualify for a subsidy for their health care.
In Ohio, Aetn said it will launch Farm Bureau coverage starting March 16.
The company is also offering Farm Bureau in Missouri starting March 21.
Aetna has more than 60 million customers nationwide, including about 1.3 million in Ohio, according to a release.
In addition, the company has more customers in Missouri, Texas and Kansas than any other state.
